The Great British Spring Clean

Think Chorlton looks a bit scruffy? Then help do something about it!

Keep Manchester Tidy (KMT) is a partnership between Manchester City Council and Keep Britain Tidy. One of the partnership’s key roles is to help with the annual Great British Spring Clean  , which takes place between Friday 13 March and Sunday 29 March.

You can pledge to take part from Friday 13 February via Keep Britain Tidy’s website .  

You can also borrow equipment for the Great British Spring Clean from Keep Manchester Tidy. Complete a form . Chorlton’s Neighbourhoods Team will be happy to help too – contact the Neighbourhoods Team.

To check if a clean-up is already organised, and if you can join in and help:

The Council is bringing together residents, schools, businesses, community groups and organisations to:

  • Tackle littering and flytipping
  • Prevent dog-fouling
  • Improve green spaces and waterways
  • Increase recycling
  • Improve our local environment
  • Increase the number of nurseries, schools and colleges taking part in their eco schools programme.
