A chance to ask questions of those who would like your vote in the local elections.
These hustings, organised by Chorlton Civic Society, are your chance to meet and assess candidates in the local elections and ask them questions. These hustings are politically neutral, accepting questions across a broad range of issues – but only on those things for which the Council has responsibility in Chorlton and Chorlton Park.
Local Councillors are elected by the community to decide how the council should carry out its various activities. They represent public interest as well as individuals living within the ward in which he or she has been elected.’ details of MCC services can be found at manchester.gov.uk.
The organisers will collate all questions across a broad range of issues and from residents across the two wards.
Places are free, but you need to register and submit your question in advance at ccshustings.eventbrite.co.uk
Please note there will be a bucket collection on the night to cover venue costs – the organisers would be happy to accept donations.
